Mobile UX review

Two phones side by side: how the site behaves on a phone today, and the proposal. Scroll inside either phone, open the menu, and try a section jump to feel the difference. Both phones use the same hero artwork, scaled to fit without cropping, with the secondary message enlarged so it reads on a phone.

Broadcast state
Switch to "On air now" to see the busiest moment on the phone.

Today on a phone

Two stacked pills hang over the hero artwork, the on-air player sits on the corner buttons, and the menu does not lock or close itself.

Proposed — nothing shipped

One pill after the hero, one action bar at the bottom, and a menu with a backdrop, dividers and a proper tap size.

What the proposal changes

  • •One top pill instead of two, and it only appears after the hero — the artwork headline stays uncovered.
  • •The floating corner buttons become a single bottom action bar, so the on-air player never lands on top of them.
  • •The menu locks the page behind it, closes on an outside tap, and marks the section you are on.
  • •Menu rows are 44px tall with dividers — a comfortable thumb target, with a 44px menu button.
  • •Section jumps land below the header, so the heading you tapped is the first thing you see.
  • •The hotline is now the first block in the page flow, not a pill floating over the artwork.

Held back for a second pass

  • •Section spacing rhythm (every section is currently spaced identically, so the page reads as one long scroll).
  • •The signup window that opens by itself at 7 seconds.

Buttons inside the mock phone jump to the matching section so the flow is reviewable; they are not wired to real actions yet.
